Please do not use acetone or boot polish. Acetone will remove the colour (and it might not remove the nail polish - boot polish will come off on your clothes)
One of the most common problem that we encounter as leather technicians is nail varnish. The second most common is nail varnish remover that has damaged the leather. (10 this week alone)
Please DO NOT use nail varnish remover. It may not remove the nail polish but it will damage the finish on your leather.
Magic Erasers will only work by damaging the finish on the leather as you would need to scrub very hard to remove nail polish (which is essentially a paint).
This sort of damage is best left to a specialist leather technician who will have the correct products to repair the damage. No cleaning products bought over the counter will be strong enough to resolve the problem and you will need a colour to match your leather (please do not try DIY kits for this as they do not work - particulalry on two tone leathers)
If you are in the UK contact LTT who have a network of technicians who are qualified to do this type of work.

Hmmm - try acetone - if the color from the couch comes off - use shoe polish
