How do you restore nail polish when it is half gone and seems to be drying out and getting too thick?

Can you add nail polish remover or something else to the nail polish? How do you restore nail polish when it is half gone and seems to be drying out and getting too thick?
First of all, DO NOT use nail polish remover. Remover is made to dissolve polish, so it will only ruin it. Instead, use nail polish thinner, which is actually made for the purpose of thinning out polish. Nail polish never gets old, you can keep thinning it if you need to. Add a couple of drops at a time and shake the bottle gently.

You can buy nail polish thinner at most beauty supply stores. :)How do you restore nail polish when it is half gone and seems to be drying out and getting too thick?
When my polish is drying out or I need to get just a bit more out of the bottle. I put a drop or two of Acetone or polish remover to the bottle and shake it really good and it's ready to go again.
Throw it out. Adding polish remover makes it thinner, but then it does not adhere to your nails for long. Nail polish is not expensive.
Add a drop or two of used engine oil with a little gas.

The smell will drive the motor Machs.. crazy about you
you can add nailpolish remover to it but it becomes streaky...so add a small amount of clear top coat as well
Add fingernail polish thinner to it.
Try adding just clear nail polish, I wouldn't add nail polish remover.
Yeah add a little bit of nail polish remover and it will thin it out :)
You throw it away and buy a new bottle.
